TReD Grp. on Elektron 10 Year Anniversary Compilation

I can't remember if I posted this, but a while ago, Elektron was nice enough to send me a compilation disc that they gave away at their 10th anniversary party, back in November 2008.

Here are pics of that special gift:

TReD Grp. Appears on 45 Tribute with Autechre

http://www.45tribute.com

The Research nd Developmt Grp. (TReD Grp.) is featured on a compilation with Autechre!

About the compilation:
+ Go here: Http://www.45tribute.com
+ It's 30 tracks of varying electronic styles
+ It's only $5.00
+ Proceeds go to the World Wildlife Fund
+ Download only -- it's about 350M.

For the official press release, read below.

After the tragic passing of Elektron co-founder Daniel Hansson, a
compilation of music featuring the instruments he helped creating has
seen the light of day.

"45 - A tribute to Daniel Hansson" features unreleased tracks from
30 artists, some of them very well known to the public. The compilation
is an initiative coming completely from the Elektron-users web community
and we at Elektron are very moved by this. We really have the best user
base one can imagine.

When buying a copy of the compilation there is also an opportunity to
win a quite special prize. What it consists of we won't tell you here,
but we can assure you that it belongs to the once-in-a-life-time category.

All the proceeds from the compilation will go directly to the World
Wildlife Fund as environmental causes were close to Daniel's heart.

A big thanks goes out to all the artists who submitted tracks - but maybe
most of all to Ryan Faubion. He is the one who made the compilation
possible. Thank you!

new TReD Grp. track: 5limp

UPDATE: This track was removed. It will be back, in the form of a vinly disc, soon!

...or "Slimp," as it was originally called.
Check the new track in the box, over there--->>>>>

Phaelam sent me this great little (1:30) loop that I thought I could extend. I did a lot more than extend it; it's a fully-fleged TReD Grp track now. (The original track has been uploaded, too. Check the box for "010108 slimp.")

The main beat was chucked into the MDUW and f*cked with. I added some extra "bouncy" MD flavor, too. The rest of the the constituent tracks were slowed-down and re-arranged in live.

another new TReD grp. track - doefield

Here's another (new) one: http://www.glitched.org/files/tred group - doefield.mp3
Phaelam sent me this really thick beat that he made on his Elektribe...ahem, I mean Electribe (which shouldn't be confused with anything Elektron, although it's still a very capable machine), and I chucked it into the MDUW.
The MDUW is great for on-the-fly tweaking of samples, and that's what I did to the beat. Reverse here, stutter there...oh, and the filter and compression!
Anyway, so all the percussion-type sounds come from the MDUW, while the synth sounds were contributed by the DSI Evolver.
I consider it a TReD tune, but it's really about 80% [d], 10% phaelam, this time. Still, without that original beat, there would be no song. Thanks [p]!

new tred grp tracks

It has been a while since I worked on any tred grp. material, so I've decided to upload a couple new short ones. TRED Grp. is the research nd developmt grp., of course; the joint venture between me, [d], and phaelam.

foundloop
i found shades [Edit: I don't like this one anymore, so I'm taking it down.]

These two tracks are really just remnants of some older material I was going to use for a remix, but never got to finishing...until now. Since they sample two of my favorite phaelam songs, "shades3" and "kuul", they are considered TRED tracks. After all, without those emotive keys, I'd have nothing to build upon.

While we're at it, let's share a few more phaelam classics:
Boodanka Dank
Syn Koto
Micah3-5
The Cubicle
